Results
Mirani has been
involved in Central Test Sire Evaluation since 1990. As well as the local
New England scheme, Mirani rams have been evaluated at Hamilton and
Geelong in Victoria, Western Australia, New Zealand and Uruguay.
The following graphs
show that, in general, Mirani Sires are above average for fleece weight,
below average for fibre diameter, above average for “tops”, and below
average for “culls”. This is compared to the elite performance sires
of the Australian Merino Industry!
